What Makes a Great World Kindness Day Speaker?
To me, a great kindness speaker is someone that inspires and reminds you to:
- Look out for others, not just yourself.
- Try and be of service to others.
- Always ask are you ok? Can I help at all?
- Think of the big picture and how it affects everyone, not just yourself.
- Always say please and thank you.
We have no shortage of kindness speakers that would fit this bill here at ICMI, but some of my topic picks would be:
Kath Koschel
As founder of the Kindness Factory, it’s safe to say that Kath Koschel has made kindness her life mission. So far it’s seen her organisation record over 7 million acts of kindness while creating global educational programs that encourage further acts of kindness that help in real, practical ways.
Peter Sharp
Whether he’s putting together flash mobs or making a train full of strangers laugh, Peter Sharp is a visionary when it comes to kindness and happiness. It shows in his energetic, inspiring presentation that focuses on the importance of human connection.
Jahin Tanvir
With a passion for creating positive change in the community, Jahin Tanvir shares helpful insights about the power of kindness from the perspective of a Gen Z leader, whether it’s supporting your peers with small acts of kindness or how employers can hold onto talent by upskilling them so much they can leave, but treating them with so much kindness that they stay.
Leanne Faulkner
A successful entrepreneur and an authentic and engaging keynote speaker, Leanne Faulkner has a way of connecting with any audience and providing valuable lessons for fellow small business owners. That includes cultivating a culture of self-kindness with sole traders and business owners as well as operating to a mantra of “killing them with kindness” to succeed in business.
