Wayne Bennett AM
Widely regarded as one of NRL’s greatest ever coaches, Wayne Bennett AM, has had an indelible mark on rugby league. He led the Brisbane Broncos to victory in the 2006 Rugby League Grand Final for his sixth Grand Final win. Wayne’s coaching prowess also extended to the Australian national team in 1998. Shattering records throughout his career, he holds the most grand final wins and has coached the most seasons with a single club in NRL history. Wayne’s also an accomplished author and sought-after speaker on leadership and teamwork.
Craig Bellamy
One of the greatest rugby league coaches of all time, Craig Bellamy made a habit of winning, something that’s cemented him in NRL history. Starting his coaching career helping the Brisbane Broncos win titles in 1998 and 2000 as Wayne Bennett’s assistant coach, Craig went on to become the Melbourne Storm head coach in 2003. He then played in eight NRL Grand Finals, won four titles and reached semi-finals football every year. It’s a rare and always great opportunity to hear Craig Bellamy’s winning secrets first-hand.
Ellia Green OAM
Olympic gold medallist and rugby star Ellia Green OAM was one of the stars of international Rugby 7s for close to a decade. He’s also a dedicated advocate for diversity and inclusion, coming out in 2022 as a transgender man. The announcement made Ellia the first Olympian to come out as a trans man. Since retiring from rugby, he has welcomed a daughter with partner Vanessa, identifying as the child’s father. As a speaker, he has a fascinating life story to share with inspiring lessons to share on perseverance, self-acceptance and more.
Mal Meninga OAM
Legendary NRL player and coach Mal Meninga OAM is one of Australia’s biggest rugby league identities. Playing as an incredible centre, Mal made the most appearances and scored the most points of any player in the green and gold jersey. As a result, he has been inducted into the Australian Rugby League Hall of Fame. While as a coach, meanwhile, he led the Canberra Raiders and is now currently coaches the Queensland State of Origin team.
Alan Tongue
NRL champ turned youth mentor and educator, Alan Tongue’s stellar 13-year career with the Canberra Raiders included a 5 year stint as captain and 220 matches. In 2012, he became an NRL Ambassador and has been the face of the NRL Voice against Violence program. Alan also founded the Mentoring Thru Fitness program, empowering and motivating young people to better their lives, using rugby league drills as a unique way to connect social messages with participants.
Shane Webcke
Renowned as one of rugby’s best front-row forwards, Shane Webcke is a legend of the game. He played 263 games for the Broncos along with 21 State of Origins and 20 test matches. After his retirement, he provided expert commentary on the game while also working as a publican, published author, public speaker and rural advocate.
Gorden Tallis
One of rugby’s greatest ever players and now a popular and outstanding media performer, Gorden Tallis is a popular fixture on the speaker circuit. Known for his fearless, no holds barred style of forward play, he played 160 matches and won 3 premierships with the Brisbane Broncos. Gorden’s extensive rugby knowledge, along with his honest and thoughtful insights make him a highly sought-after personality with a steady stream of corporate and ambassadorial speaker requests.
Glenn Lazarus
From paddock to parliament, Glenn Lazarus has had a unique career, going from rugby legend to Queensland senator. He played in six NRL grand finals and won five, being the only player in the history of the game to win grand finals with three different clubs, Canberra Raiders, Brisbane Broncos and Melbourne Storm. He recovered from a significant ankle injury to return to the paddock and go on as captain to win another NRL grand final. Glenn is also the only rugby player ever to be elected to the Australian Senate.
