Dominic Bowden

Biography

Dominic Bowden has been at the forefront of New Zealand television for the past 7 years. He has graced the covers of magazines, hosted his own highly successful national radio show and has interviewed everyone from Bon Jovi and Coldplay to Will Smith and Keanau Reeves. But it was the opportunity to be involved in the coveted New Zealand version of American Idol that has made him a household name.

New Zealand Idol is nothing short of a national television phenomenon. The Idol series one grand final was watched by a quarter of New Zealand’s population, which represented a 69% audience share making it the single highest-rating programmed ever made in this country. From there he has been the host of a variety of TVNZ top rating shows including Are You Smart Than A 10 Year Old and Pop’s Ultimate Star.

New Zealand Idol has taken its place in kiwi pop culture and catapulted Dominic Bowden into one of the country’s most recognisable faces. And Bowden is showing no sign of slowing down, following the third series of the hit TV2 show, Dominic Bowden has secured his position as one of New Zealand's most popular and talented television presenters.

Dominic regularly hosts and MCs corporate and private functions and is also available to present his live stage show Stars In Whose Eyes.
