Netflix Co-Founder Visiting Australia – And He’s Not the Only One

Randolph Marc web NEW 2016

If you’ve ever relaxed on the couch watching Netflix and thought, what on earth did we do before this? or who came up with the idea that changed the way the world watches television? — imagine having that very person speak at your next conference.

You might be surprised to learn that it’s entirely possible.

Marc Randolph, the co-founder of Netflix, is visiting Australia as part of ICMI’s Visiting Talent programme.

And he’s certainly not the only one.

Each year, ICMI works with world-leading speakers, business innovators, sporting legends, authors and thought leaders as they tour Australia and New Zealand. These touring schedules create opportunities for organisations to book internationally recognised talent—often at a far more accessible investment than many expect.

Why Book a Visiting International Speaker?

There’s something special about hearing directly from someone whose ideas or achievements have shaped industries, challenged convention or inspired millions.

International speakers bring fresh perspectives, global experience and stories that audiences simply haven’t heard before. They introduce new ways of thinking, challenge assumptions and leave delegates with practical insights they can apply long after the event has finished.

Whether your conference is focused on leadership, innovation, customer experience, resilience, technology or organisational change, a visiting international speaker can become the highlight of your programme.

Who’s Visiting Australia?

ICMI’s Visiting Talent programme changes throughout the year as international tours are confirmed. Current opportunities include:

Chris Lemons (Exclusively brought to you by ICMI)

Deep Sea Saturation Diver & Inspiration Behind Last Breath

Scottish commercial saturation diver who survived one of the most extraordinary underwater accidents ever recorded

Chris Lemons’ extraordinary true survival story captivated audiences around the world and inspired the major motion picture Last Breath. His keynote explores teamwork, resilience, trust and decision-making under extreme pressure.

While working about 100 metres below the North Sea, the support vessel drifted off position, severing his umbilical cable, which supplied his breathing gas, communications and hot water. Chris was left on the seabed with only a small emergency oxygen supply. Against all expectations, he survived until fellow divers located and rescued him. His story has become one of the best-known survival stories in commercial diving.

His experience has been featured in:

  • The documentary Last Breath (2019).
  • The feature film Last Breath (2025), based on the same true story.

More Accessible Than You Might Think

Many event organisers assume international speakers are reserved for major conferences with enormous budgets.

In reality, visiting speakers often undertake multi-city tours throughout Australia and New Zealand. By sharing travel across several engagements, organisations can often secure globally recognised speakers at a significantly lower investment than arranging a dedicated international visit.

If you’ve dismissed the idea before, it’s worth asking the question—you may be pleasantly surprised.

Why Book Through ICMI?

Booking talent involves much more than finding an available date.

Our experienced consultants manage every aspect of the process, including:

  • Recommending the right speaker for your audience
  • Availability and scheduling
  • Contracts and fee negotiations
  • International travel coordination
  • Technical requirements
  • Speaker briefings
  • Event logistics
  • On-the-ground support

With more than 35 years’ experience delivering thousands of successful conferences, meetings and corporate events across Australia and New Zealand, we know what it takes to ensure everything runs seamlessly.

Is a Visiting Speaker Right for Your Event?

The right keynote speaker can inspire new ideas, energise delegates and create the moments people continue talking about long after the conference has ended.

Whether you’re looking for an entrepreneur who changed an industry, a sporting icon, a global humanitarian or a leadership expert, ICMI’s Visiting Talent programme gives Australian event organisers access to some of the world’s most influential voices.

Because touring schedules are limited, availability changes throughout the year.
