Topics for Sunita Gloster

  • Gender equality: Its on your watch
Although the business case for diversity, equality and inclusion is stronger than ever, progress is painfully slow. No country has achieved gender equality. The pandemic has set us back further and whilst most of us align to pledges, policies and processes, to really accelerate change we must all hold ourselves to account every day. As the daughter of a headstrong, brave Indian father that migrated the family from Bombay to regional Australia in the year the last vestiges of the White Australia Policy ended, Sunita’s story shows how powerful the actions of individual people can be in creating an equal and fair future for all Australians. How the small actions of every day people, in her case the butcher and the banker can make a huge impact. This 25 min keynote educates and tables the facts on gender equality at an everyday level. It rouses the audience to accelerate change, with the onus on the individual to play their part. Sunita’s story reminds the audience of the impact each of them can make, one person at a time.

As the MC for the launch of the Federal Government’s Coaching for Women in Digital Program, run by the Digital Transformation Agency and Accenture, Sunita was able to transcend the virtual engagement by connecting with leaders from all over the country. Julia Gillard on women and leadership. Sunita brought the audience along with her, sharing personal stories and seamlessly covering a broad range of topics in addition to live questions from the audience. What a professional!

The Val Morgan Group has been partnering with Sunita for the past 3 years, working together on a series of POPSUGAR UNSTOPPABLE events focused on International Women’s Day and International Day of the Girl. Our ambition for the UNSTOPPABLE events was to create an industry event that tackled the big, and often unspoken issues, around gender equality in the workplace and build a platform to support future female leaders. Sunita was integral to the success of the UNSTOPPABLE events. Whilst her deep understanding of gender issues and her gravitas on stage made the events compelling viewing, it was Sunita’s absolute focus on the preparation required in running a successful event that stands her apart. Whether that was helping to source speakers, developing content streams, conducting pre-briefings which each speaker, or speaking directly to journalists to help build momentum for the event; Sunita’s dedication to creating the best possible event makes her an incredible partner. Sunita’s hard work and strategic approach take any event from great to good and the Val Morgan
business couldn’t recommend her services enough.

On IWD 2021 I had the honour of speaking at the UN Women Australia event in Sydney, in the company of some truly remarkable people - Yasmin Poole, Marise Payne, Liz Broderick and many others. After giving a most generous and personal introduction, the incredible force that is Sunita Gloster lead the audience in a 'reverse ovation' that had me bursting with love before I'd even reached the stage. What a sight to see; 1200 people standing and cheering in Sydney. Not only was that an incredible gesture from Sunita to make me feel safe and loved to tell my story, it was the epitome of empowerment. And for a speaker that tells a very personal story, Sunita's personal touch and humanity was very appreciated.

Sunita is a consummate professional - engaged and warm, with the ability to ask insightful questions. I could tell she approaches her work with a positive spirit and mindset, two things I value. Would highly recommend Sunita as a moderator or MC at your next event! I’ve had the pleasure of working with Sunita in 2021 at an event for Mitsubishi Motors Australia, of which I am an ambassador.
