Dr Peter van Onselen is the Political Editor at Network Ten. He is a Contributing Editor at The Australian newspaper and co-hosts The Sunday Project with Lisa Wilkinson on Network Ten. Peter also appears regularly as a panelist on the ABC Insiders and has a weekly segment on Radio National with Fran Kelly.

Peter has won Walkley and Logie awards for his broadcast journalism and a News Award for his feature and opinion writing. He is the author of eight books including best sellers and in 2007 his biography on John Howard was ranked the best biography by the Wall Street Journal.

Peter is also a professor of politics and public policy and foundation chair of Journalism at the University of Western Australia. He has a PhD in political science, Master of Commerce and Master of Policy Studies and a BA with first class honours in political science.
