Will Hodgman was appointed Australia’s top diplomat to Singapore at the height of the global pandemic, leading a team that strengthened relations between our countries in trade, the green and digital economies, defence and public health care.

Previously Will served as Premier of Tasmania for six years, leading a government that took Tasmania’s economy from the worst performing in the nation to the best, for the first time ever.

In an era infamous for political instability Will was an exception, leading his Party for fourteen years and taking it from the political wilderness to historic successive election victories.

Prior to entering Parliament Will practised law as a barrister and solicitor in Australia and the United Kingdom, including as a criminal lawyer and prosecuting cases of child abuse.
