Brett Maher

Adelaide's favourite son, three-time Olympian, businessman, philanthropist

Brett Maher is one of Adelaide’s favourite sons and a highly respected community leader.

He is a three-time Olympian and three-time NBL Champion with the Adelaide 36ers, winning the ‘Gaze Medal’ as Australian Basketball International Player of the year in 2001 and finished with playing 180 games for the Boomers.

In 2018 Brett was inducted into the Basketball Australia and NBL Hall Of Fame.

Today, Brett works full time for the Metropolitan Fire Service, owns and runs Worlds Sports Tours and also runs the Adelaide 36ers Clubs in-school and school holiday Community programs.

An accomplished speaker, Brett provides insight into elite performance, leadership and overcoming adversity through his inspirational and motivational stories.
