What We’re Seeing Across Events

AIME Pic

The last little while has been particularly productive across the business events industry, with the ICMI team out meeting organisers, attending industry events and seeing first-hand what is happening in conference rooms around the country, at events that you make happen.

Our Talent, On Stages Around Australia

Our talent has been appearing across conferences, leadership programs, awards, association events and corporate gatherings, with names including Julia Gillard, Stan Grant, Johnathan Thurston AM, Cathy Freeman, Adam Gilchrist, Jelena Dokic, Glenn McGrath, Dr Karl Kruszelnicki and Michael McQueen taking to stages, and boardrooms, around Australia.

Out Meeting Event Organisers

At the Event Organisers Summit in Sydney, ICMI’s Jo Neville was there with Dr Stacey Ashley, who shared her expertise in leadership and how today’s leaders can navigate increasingly complex workplaces. In September, Kristy Eggleston will be in Canberra with Megan Gilmour, continuing those conversations with event organisers in the capital.

Close to the Association Community

ICMI is also staying close to the association and broader business events community. Jacqui Timmins and George Yacoub attended Associations Forum, where we placed Jacqui Cooper on stage, while George and Denise Olholm-Flowerday are representing ICMI at AuSAE in Brisbane, with Dr Dinesh Palipana, Candice Harvey and Milo Wilkinson appearing on stage.

Why Being Out in the Industry Matters

Being out in the industry matters. It gives our consultants the chance to hear directly from organisers, see what audiences are responding to and understand how event formats, priorities and expectations are changing.

That knowledge comes back into every conversation we have with clients, including event managers, people and culture specialists, marketing leaders and CEOs, as well as PCOs, because finding the right talent is about much more than knowing a name. It is about knowing the market, knowing the room and understanding what will work for you.
