Born in Papua New Guinea and raised in Melbourne, Marina Prior’s first professional audition saw her land the lead role in the Victoria State Opera’s staging of The Pirates of Penzance. This was soon followed by playing Guinevere opposite Richard Harris in Camelot.

Since that time, Marina has performed in the lead role in Les Miserables, Die Fledermaus, Anything Goes, West Side Story, The Secret Garden, Showboat, The Merry Widow, The Witches of Eastwick, Noises Off, Harp on the Willow, Annie Get Your Gun, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, The Hypocrite, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Guys & Dolls, Mary Poppins and Promises Promises.

She regularly sings at Carols by Candelight, televised on Nine, and has judged on the Channel Seven show, It Takes Two.

She has recorded three albums, and has been the recipient of four MO Awards, three Green Room Awards and the Advance Australia Award. She has also been inducted into Australia’s 100 Entertainers of the Century, and was featured on This is Your Life.
