Thank you to all those who attended the ICMI Women in Leadership showcase on Monday 23 February at Crown Palladium C, hosted by Ann Peacock.

The importance of women’s leadership contribution to Corporate and SME business in Australia (and around the world) is well-known.

From an early age, Anzac Day was etched into my memory as ‘that’ significant day of the year. That day when the average Australian would openly celebrate the courage and heroism of their forefathers who fought to preserve the peaceful existence that we as Australians had grown accustomed to.

These words sum up the spirit of Daniel Keighran perfectly.  In February 2010, Daniel was deployed on his 2nd tour to Afghanistan. On the 24th August 2010 whilst on the outskirts of Derapet, Afghanistan his patrol came under heavy fire by a numerically superior insurgent force.

Damien Thomlinson recently returned home after participating in the Invictus Games 2014 in London.  The Invictus Games saw over 400 competitors from 13 nations take part in an international sporting event for wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women. The games staged sporting events to inspire recovery, support rehabilitation and generate a wider understanding and respect of those who serve their country, whilst celebrating the participants resilience and passion.  The games were supported by Prince Harry, who after visiting the Warrior Games, Colorada in 2013, vowed to bring the event to an international audience. In case you are wondering the word “invictus” means “unconquered”.

The Speaking Industry like any other industry is continually changing.  However, one thing that never changes is the continual request for motivational and inspirational speakers who can help lift the spirit of a company and ensure that their people have more drive to succeed and are more engaged as a team.
