Andrew Campbell is the founder GoCatch, one of Australia’s most disruptive technology Startups. Within 4 years he’d built a $20m business and transformed customer experience in the taxi industry, despite fierce competition from Cabcharge and Uber.
Along the way, he raised $7m in investment funding, built a talented, passionate team, negotiated with state transport departments, appeared in every major news media and won numerous business awards including the $50,000 first prize at Tech-23 for the best Startup pitch.
In 2014, with $4.5 million in the bank and 10% month-on-month growth, Andrew exited GoCatch and began mentoring up and coming Startup entrepreneurs.
In less than 2 years since leaving GoCatch, Andrew had mentored over fifty tech entrepreneurs who are all disrupting their market segments with new technologies and business models.
To make these efforts more impactful and scalable he developed a curriculum for these entrepreneurs that covers business modelling, generating traction and raising capital. This same curriculum is now taught to university students and is transforming their education experience.
During this time, Andrew has also been asked to consult on innovation and disruptive technologies to the NRMA, ING Direct, HCF, Simplot and NSW Industry. With each of these large organisations grappling with the challenges of innovation in a bureaucratic corporate environment he has been helping them to improve their core businesses and remain sustainable in the long-term by working with Startups.
Through his experience building businesses, supporting other entrepreneurs on their journey and consulting in large companies, Andrew brings a perspective that is extremely rare.
