General Peter Gration is a Director of the major Australian industry/technology company, the Tenix Group. Headquarters of the Group is in Sydney, Australia.
General Gration graduated from the Royal Military College, Duntroon in 1952. He completed a Civil Engineering degree with honours at Melbourne University and also holds bachelor degrees in Arts and Economics.
General Peter Gration has held a number of command appointments in the Australian Army in Australia, Malaysia, New Guinea and South Vietnam.
He was Chief of the General Staff from 1984 to 1987 and Chief of the Defence Force from 1987 to 1993.
In 1977 he was selected to be the first Australian International Fellow at the United States Army War College, Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
He was appointed Chairman of Transfield Defence Systems Executive Management Committee in 1994 and to the Board of Tenix Pty Limited in 1997.
