One of the all-time greats
John Eales will forever be considered one of the all-time greats of rugby. With a record that shows his character and talent, the former Queensland and Australia lock made his debut in 1991. That same year, Eales received his first World Cup winner's medal at age 20.
Wallabies captain
As Wallabies captain, John Eales was always destined to achieve great things in rugby on the national and international arenas. In 1999 he captained the Wallabies to their second World Cup victory. From 1991 to 2001 he represented Australia at the top level and held the record for the highest number of games as captain until George Gregan overtook him during 2006.
