From a Queensland country kid rounding up cattle on the family farm and winning ribbons at pony camp to his three Melbourne Cups on Makybe Diva, Glen Boss has become a living Australian legend.
But this champion jockey almost gave the game away when he struggled in the first years as a professional – he was ready to quit when a timely winning streak changed his mind. Now having ridden more than 60 Group 1 races – including this year’s Golden Slipper and Doncaster Handicap – Glen has cemented his place as a favourite with punters, trainers and owners.
