David Boon joined the Australian Cricket Team in 1983, commencing a professional sporting career that would make him a household name.

“Boonie” with his trademark moustache, is considered to be one of Australia’s best ever cricketers with statistics including 107 Test Matches, 7422 Runs, 20 Centuries, 180 One Day Internationals and 300 1st Class Games.

David holds the second highest number of Test Matches played (107), behind former Australian Captain Allan Border (156).
