Jo Pearson is one of Australia's most prominent and talented media communicators.
Trained as a newspaper journalist with Brisbane's "Courier Mail", and with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, Jo has achieved outstanding success in the highly competitive television news field.
She has worked as a reporter, producer, writer and weather presenter, but it was as part of Network TEN's top-rating EYEWITNESS NEWS that she reached the pinnacle of success to date. Between 1982 and 1987, Jo and fellow newscaster David Johnston became Melbourne's most watched news reading team.
Jo's professional credits also include experience as co-host with Terry Willesee for the Nine Network national current affairs/magazine show "Life at Five", and as host of the national lifestyle and health program, "Body and Soul".
Jo has also worked as a reporter for the NBC Network in California, was president of the Television Society of Australia for two years, and in 1988 became the first female crowned as Monarch of Melbourne's Moomba Festival.
In 1991 Jo returned to Channel 10 as Senior Anchor, Reporter & Producer and also established "Media Strategies" training consultancy, specialising in media training courses for businesses.
In 1994, Jo became a freelance writer, producer and presenter. Welcoming a departure from commercial television news reading as "something long overdue", Jo now looks forward to a challenging and diversified future.
