Tim is a 34 year old environmental scientist, adventurer and sportsman who has undertaken expeditions throughout the world, including to Antarctica, the Arctic, Central America, Asia and Australia, and participates at a highly competitive level in a number of sports.
A sought after public speaker, Tim addresses a wide range of audiences, including schools, industry, conference groups. His talks are motivated by a belief that everyone can make a difference, and that people should aspire to achieve their goals whatever they might be. With this in mind, Tim often uses the talks he gives to put across his personal views about the environment. In the case of industry, he is a firm advocate of incorporating the environment into business decision making to bring about improved environmental and business outcomes.
Tim is currently working in Australia as a senior environmental scientist & land resource manager with URS Aust. Ltd, a major international environmental consulting firm. He holds Masters qualifications in both science and environmental law. His background includes seven years environmental consultancy & six years environmental project management experience in Europe, the Americas &Australia in both the public & private sectors.
In addition, Tim’s specialist skills and experience include environmental auditing/site assessment, natural resource management, rural extension project work in developing countries, environmental management systems design & implementation, & environmental law.
