Jodie holds a Master of Business degree, a Bachelor of Commerce a Graduate Diploma in Management. After finishing university, she worked in Hong Kong where she met her husband David and then continued to travel and work in various marketing positions internationally. Jodie wrote a thesis on the Plus Size fashion industry and went on to conduct focus group research in the UK to assist in the launch of a plus size Italian clothing label. She returned to her homeland, New Zealand, where her two children Lili and Josh were born, before moving to Australia’s Sunshine Coast in 2007.
After her book ‘You Sexy Mother’ was released in 2008, thousands of emails flooded in from mothers around the world who were looking to experience more from their motherhood journey. This led Jodie to initiate the Motherhood Study International in conjunction with the University of the Sunshine Coast – a study designed to open the lid on what women really think and feel about motherhood in the 21st Century. This ground-breaking research is being conducted across Australia, New Zealand, the US and UK.
Jodie has appeared on numerous television shows and is a contributing editor for magazines and websites internationally. Jodie is fast becoming the spokesperson for a generation of mothers who are no longer prepared to live anything other than their best life. As well as being a mother to two small children, she also conducts workshops and events throughout Australasia.
