Dr Jackie Holt (Ph.D; M.Stud.Ed; DipPHC; B.Ed) is the Director of Ripplemakers Pty Ltd a boutique company that specialises in strategies for personal and professional well being.
Jackie is a professional speaker and workshop leader with over 20 years experience in the health and education field. Jackie has turned her research into a range of proven practical strategies that have enabled people to achieve significant results in their lives. Jackie is an entertaining, thought provoking speaker who engages the audience with her blend of real life experience, research and road tested strategies to ensure that the audience leaves with practical skills that they can use in their personal and professional lives. She is also the author of several books and training programs in the areas of work/life balance and stress management.
In addition, Jackie is a ‘member’ of the National Speaker Association Australia and is currently the newsletter editor for the Queensland Chapter.

Area of Expertise
Jackie’s PhD investigated psychological distress amongst GPs. As part of this research she developed and evaluated several educational initiatives to reduce stress and improve work/life balance. Due to the success of this work, Jackie was instrumental in developing a number of doctors’ health initiatives.
Some of the key outcomes were:
¨ Co-facilitation of the inaugural National Doctors’ Health Conference in 1999
¨ A state wide ‘Doctor, do you have your own GP?’ campaign in 1999 and 2000
¨ Development, facilitation and evaluation of a national training program for GPs entitled ‘You and Your Practice’ during 1999 - 2002
¨ Negotiation of inclusion of doctors’ health information in undergraduate training
¨ Negotiation with 5 Medical Colleges to accredit a self-paced doctors’ health manual
¨ Inclusion of doctors’ health information into the orientation workshops for Overseas Trained Doctors
¨ Development of a GP/spouse program to address health, recruitment and retention in association with the Queensland Rural Medical Support Agency in 2001 - 2004
¨ The development of a pilot rural women medical practitioners mentor project in 2004.
Since then she has worked with a range of organisations in the area of work/life balance, stress management and understanding and working with change.
