Eddie McGuire joined Channel Nine in February 1994 as a sports commentator and co-host of the top rating multi-award-winning program ‘THE FOOTY SHOW’. Since then Eddie has presented numerous national programs on the Nine Network, and has since become the head of the Nine Network.
In 1996 he presented the nightly sports report on Nightline and anchored the American NFL Gridiron coverage. He co-presented the 1998 Commonwealth Games from Kuala Lumpur and in March was the anchor for Nine’s coverage of the Australian Formula One Grand Prix.
His on-air talents don’t limit him to the sports arena. In 1997 Eddie hosted the Crown Casino opening and guest hosted the Midday Show also during that year.
Eddie was the compentent compere of WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE, one of the most exciting quiz shows ever seen on television where contestants have the opportunity to become instant millionaires by answering just 15 questions.
Eddie is a witty, entertaining speaker and recognised as one of the very best Masters of Ceremonies in the business.
