Speaker Deb Ferguson

- travels from: Vic Australia

The development of Deb Ferguson's innovative business, Zootz Australia, came from very humble beginnings. Driven by her husband’s death from melanoma in 1984, Deb designed the world’s first ultra violet protection swimsuit. Beginning in 1990, with no money and no background in business, it was passion and a vision of reducing Australia’s melanoma rate, which inspired Deb.

In four years, Zootz was exporting to eight countries and turning over $2.5 million. This success enabled her to win a Victorian Business Award and be invited as a keynote speaker in many business forums and as a member of the Reserve Bank’s Small Business Advisory Board.

Having been instrumental in changing a culture, Deb Ferguson made a decision that would again change her life. Flying to Trinidad she spent two years sailing to Australia, experiencing storms, isolation and remote island people.

Using both business and life experiences, Deb now promotes well being in the workplace.

Setting Deb apart is her optimism, determination and passion for life.
