Comedian Marty Coffey is perhaps best known for causing a furor on Australian national television when he pretended to juggle two live kittens with a running chainsaw, upsetting many short sighted home viewers... all in the name of comedy!
With or without cats his deftness for combining hilarious patter, visual gags and high tention stunts always gets the audience on the edge of their seats (and sometimes into the act).
Marty Coffrey's stage act is comedy based around juggling. As a teenager he was one of San Francisco’s original and most succesful buskers. Winning a street performing compitition that brought him to Australia, in the eighties he surfed the “new wave” comedy movement around the country that eventually landed him a starring role performing his act in the highly succesful Broadway musical “Sugar Babies”. Here he developed the “classier” version of his pub show which he now performs for private functions.
