Rachel Berger is widely acknowledged as one of Australia’s finest Stand Up Comedians. Her material is political, psychological and socially conscious. Rachel has performed four times at the Edinburgh Festival in Scotland. “a feisty ambassador from Oz who pulls no punches.” Whilst in Britain she has made numerous television appearances and performed extensively on the London comedy circuit.
Rachel’s television credits include appearances on Rove Live, Tonite Live, The Big Gig, The Midday Show, Hey Hey It’s Saturday, Denton, co-host of 1996 Comic Relief live-to-air, nationally on the Nine Network, World Series Debating and Good News Week, Good Morning Australia.
She’s featured in the ABC TV’s documentary Punchlines, 20 years of Australian Comedy, and The Smallest Room in the House.
Rachel has prodded listeners into a new day with her early morning “Slice of Life” monologues on Radio National’s Daybreak program and co-presented with John Fain on ABC Radio 3LO. She has also written various articles for The Age, The Sunday Age, The Sunday Herald Sun and other national publications, such as New Woman and Rolling Stone magazines. Currently she is writing a regular weekly column for The Melbourne City Weekly, She has just completed her novel.
