A Melbourne institution Miss Dorothy & His Fools in Love formed in 1986 with their debut performance in September of the same year. Playing what now is described as ‘lounge’ music but then was a bit weird, they began to confound and charm audiences around Australia.
Anyone who has seen or heard of Miss Dorothy & His Fools in Love (and hasn’t everyone?) will be aware of the notorious antic of the wild frontman Dorothy
(Greg Scealy) and the havoc they have caused. Stopping trams outside gigs while still singing, swinging (literally) from the rafters, tying audience members to chairs, pouring far too many free drinks for the punters and above all whipping the crowd senseless with his razor-sharp-tongue!
It is precisely this ‘loose-cannon’ propensity that made Miss Dorothy & His Fools in Love a regular guest act on The Big Gig, Tonight Live with Steve Vizard, Good Morning Australia, Hey Hey It’s Saturday, The Jemoin Show, Something Hot Before Bed, plus numerous T.V Ads.
After 6 years on the corporate train, eating like Kings and being treated like Queens, flying all around the country & paid ridicules amounts of money, Miss Dorothy & His Fools in Love would like more of it.
After all this is “Kamikaze Cabaret”!
